Privacy Policy
No accounts, no tracking cookies, no analytics, and no mailing list. Everything adjusted on the site stays in the visitor’s own browser.

The publisher

What the site does not collect
The site has no user accounts. It does not:
- set advertising or tracking cookies,
- run third-party analytics or fingerprinting scripts,
- build profiles of visitors or sell data to anyone,
- require anyone to register, log in, or give a name to read anything on the site.
What stays in the browser
Some parts of the site remember a visitor’s choices using the browser’s localStorage. This includes the readings and the bar set on a domain’s forecast page, and the figures typed into the methodology worksheet.
The visitor’s own device writes it and reads it back. Vuelance never receives it and cannot see it. Clearing browser storage for this site removes it for good.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by a web server run with a hosting provider. Like nearly all web servers, it may keep short-lived request logs containing an IP address, timestamp, requested URL and browser user-agent string, in order to serve pages and block abuse. Those logs are never used to identify anyone, and are not joined to anything else.
Data the site publishes
The readings, the forecast and the scoreboard are built from public, cited sources: training compute figures, task horizons and test scores, cost and leaderboard data, and prediction-market prices. Those are datasets about AI systems, not about the people reading them. Their provenance is documented on the methodology page.
External links
Pages across the site link out to sources such as Epoch AI, METR, OpenRouter, LMArena, Stanford HELM and Manifold, and the tools directory links to third-party products. Once a reader follows a link, that site’s own privacy policy governs what happens next. Vuelance has no control over and takes no responsibility for their practices.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and no information is knowingly collected from them.
Reader rights
Depending on jurisdiction, a reader may have the right to ask what personal data Vuelance holds about them, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. In practice the site holds none: there are no accounts and no mailing list. The only personal data Vuelance ever sees is what someone chooses to send to the address above, and a request to that address will get it deleted.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, say because analytics get added later, this page is updated and the date at the top moves with it.
